Inquisition Advisors: A Summary
Dragon Age Inquisition Short – No Major Spoilers
The Inquisitor’s and Cullen’s relationship had long been a source of conversation for those living in Skyhold. Thus, when their child was born the excitement throughout the fortress was palpable. Nearly every resident insisted on being an active part of the child’s life granting the proud, if exhausted, parents a surplus of caregivers and sources of advice. Cullen was hardly surprised given everything his wife had done, had risked, for the Inquisition. She was their Herald and they would go to the edge of the world for her.
What did surprise him was that out of all the people who offered assistance he often found himself most indebted to Cole. The young man’s emphatic talents were not limited to adults and his insights were invaluable when it came to soothing the colicky infant. Cullen suspected his soldiers were as grateful for Cole as he was as the boy’s presence meant fewer sleep deprived nights for Cullen and fewer days with a cranky commander for his soldiers.
So when his wife suggested they allow Cole to babysit occasionally Cullen agreed (as long as Varric was there to supervise). It took nearly three weeks for Cullen to regret that decision. The Inquisitor and her advisers were in an important meeting with visiting dignitaries. His thoughts had just drifted from the conversation at hand to how radiant his beloved was looking when Cole burst through the doors, the wailing infant cradled in his arms.
“Inquisitor! Your breasts are greatly desired! By the baby.”
As the Inquisitor took the infant Cullen stepped forward to usher Cole towards the door, prompting the ‘helpful’ spirit to add, “And Cullen!”
They were still within earshot of the guests when Cole, amazement evident in his voice, asked him “Can you really do that with those?”
